Are Paralympians faster than Olympians?

On Sunday evening, four competitors in the men’s T13 visually impaired 1,500m event crossed the line in under three-minutes 50 seconds, with all finishing faster than the winning time in the Olympic men’s 1,500 final. But comparing the two might make as much sense as comparing apples to oranges.
