New Windsor Regional Hospital program helps soothe patients – especially kids
Patients at the Windsor Regional Hospital now have a new way to relax and relieve anxiety. The Nolan’s Smile Foundation has launched what’s called a Snoezelen cart program. The carts are equipped with items like water bubble tubes, a fiber-optic light spray and other soothing sensory experiences. John Trepanier co-founded the foundation in honour of his son who died of leukemia. He says the cart program was inspired by his son’s experience as a patient.
