Health unit reminds businesses to post no smoking signage

The Windsor-Essex Health Unit sent out a reminder to businesses and workplaces that they must have signage indicating no smoking or vaping allowed.
A new smoke-free Ontario act came into effect last October that prohibits smoking tobacco or cannabis as well as vaping in a number of indoor and outdoor places where smoking tobacco was previously prohibited.
The health unit sent out the reminder Monday because it recently received a shipment of the required signs from the ministry.
