Woolwich Township to end Elmira sidewalk snow-clearing program

Woolwich Township is ending Elmira’s sidewalk snow-clearing program starting in the 2026-27 winter season. The decision follows rising complaints, contractor challenges and costs, with the township saying it will still look for ways to support residents who may have trouble clearing sidewalks.
