Woolwich-based aviation school breaks ground on new hangar

After seeing rapid growth in its fleet, Great Lakes Helicopter Corporation is expanding its operations. The Woolwich-based aviation school offers professional pilot training and specialized commercial helicopter operations. The company held a groundbreaking event on Tuesday for its new hangar near the Region of Waterloo International Airport which will serve as the school's main maintenance facility.
