UW students' GPS spoofing solution wins international aerospace competition

A group of University of Waterloo students recently won the Airbus "Fly Your Ideas" challenge with a technology that aims to make air travel safer. The technology, called Ariadne, offers protection from GPS spoofing. The competition saw more than 19,000 students from 60 countries compete to develop solutions for the aerospace industry. University of Waterloo students Norah Shibu and Manasa Srivatsan explain what GPS spoofing is and how their winning project solves the problem.
