New pilot program will let older adults ride 1 day a week for free in Waterloo region

On July 1, Grand River Transit will be launching its Older Adult Day Pass pilot program for anyone turning 65 this year and older. The pilot gives eligible seniors a one-day-a-week pass via the GRT Pay smartphone app that they can use for unlimited rides on GRT buses, ION trains, MobilityPLUS vehicles and Kiwanis Transit on any day of their choosing.
