Kitchener Memorial Auditorium: The War Years

The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium turned 75 this year. Since it opened, the Aud has hosted hockey games, rock concerts and big bands.It was built after the Second World War to pay tribute to the men and women who served and died in the war.
CBC KW's Joe Pavia speaks with local historian Harold Russell, who researched and wrote about the land on East Avenue when it was used as a basic training military camp for soldiers who signed up for the war.
