Demolition of Kitchener's Frederick Street bridge underway

Demolition of Kitchener's Frederick Street is underway. Lanes on Hwy. 7/85, were closed in both directions at 10 p.m. on Saturday due to the demolition work. The northbound collector lanes have since reopened, while northbound and southbound express lanes, along with southbound collector lanes, remain closed and are expected to reopen by 6 p.m. Sunday once demolition is complete.
