What to do when a friend’s finances tighten and the friendship changes

Q: My best friend and I used to grab beers after work or catch a game almost every week. He bought a house last year and they had a baby a few months later. He's been picking up a ton of overtime to cover the mortgage and the daycare costs that are coming.
