VSO ends season on a high note

This year’s season end concert of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is one of those “you had to have been there” propositions, a concert with a favourite concerto (Korngold’s lush Violin Concerto, played with fire and finesse by Baiba Skride), Mahler’s grand and glorious First Symphony, and the premiere of an extraordinary set of songs for soprano and orchestra by Music Director Bramwell Tovey.
