VPD officer charged with dangerous driving causing harm

A Vancouver police officer has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm in connection with a pedestrian collision last year, the BC Prosecution Service said Friday.
Const. Andrew Peters was driving an unmarked SUV on-duty near Knight Street and East 20th Avenue on the evening of Jan. 6, 2018 when he allegedly collided with with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The Independent Investigation Office investigated the incident.
