VPD arrest suspect in a spitting assault spree in Vancouver

Vancouver police are seeking more victims who were spit on in multiple “disturbing” assaults in downtown Vancouver on Sunday.
VPD Sgt. Jason Robillard says Daniel Bielewcz, a 28-year-old Vancouver resident, has been charged with assault after allegedly spitting in the face of a 19-year-old woman in a wheelchair.
The incident, which police say was unprovoked and random, happened just after 9 a.m. on Sunday on Granville Street near West Georgia Street.
