Vancouver skier dies in Okanagan backcountry

A 51-year-old Vancouver man died earlier this week while on a cat-ski tour in the backcountry near Vernon.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say they received a call on Monday that a backcountry skier had become separated from his cat-ski group of 14 people on a ski run near Keefer Lake Lodge. 
RCMP say the skier, a 51-year-old Vancouver man, fell into a tree well and was located by the ski group shortly after the report made to the RCMP. The man was unresponsive and was airlifted to a nearby
