Vancouver father-son cobbling duo wins at 'Shoe-lympics'

A father and son from Vancouver have been recognized as among the top cobblers in North America by winning gold and bronze in the Shoe Service Institute of America’s 2017 Silver Cup Contest.
Ronald Nijdam, 59, is the owner of Quick Cobbler Shoe Repair, at 430 West 2nd Ave. He’s been in business for over three decades, and he’s been competing in the Silver Cup Contest for years.
