Two hikers missing near Lions Bay found safe

LIONS BAY — Two women overdue on what was supposed to be a day hike in the mountains above Lions Bay have been found safe.
Lions Bay Search and Rescue began a search earlier today for the pair, believed to each be 19 years old.
The Howe Sound Crest Trail.
Their families reported Tuesday night that they had not returned from the hike.
The women were described as being in good physical condition to make the steep, 18-kilometre round-trip to West Lion Peak.
