'The recovery effort will take years': Southern Interior gets military help amid flooding

Michelle Regnier was housing 27 people — nine adults and 18 kids — in her two-storey home when the first round of floods ravaged Grand Forks, B.C. just last week. 
She managed to turn the three-bedroom home into a seven room space to accommodate for those who had lost their homes to the water. They used the kitchen in shifts for lunch and supper. 
“We’d do it again in a heartbeat,” she said.
