Silly season begins: Whitecaps chasing Venezuelan striker?

You never know how to judge these things from afar, but at least one Venezuelan soccer commentator says the Whitecaps are after a hot-shot striker.
According to Jaime Ricardo Gomez, a commentator for DirectTV Sports, the Caps are looking to sign Anthony Blondell.
