Richmond council discusses twinning the Massey Tunnel

Richmond’s director of transportation says the George Massey Tunnel should be twinned instead of replaced with a bridge, and is recommending the premier be urged to suspend all work on replacing the tunnel until a review can be conducted.
A report from Victor Wei will be considered at a special meeting of Richmond’s general purposes committee on Monday afternoon. If the committee supports the recommendation, it will be considered at the regular council meeting for ratification.
