Richmond cops say distracted driver hit officer

A high speed chase in Richmond Monday afternoon sent a Mountie to hospital, left vehicles damaged and police on the lookout for a suspect.
According to a media release from Richmond RCMP, police were looking for distracted drivers on No. 3 Road.
At about 3:30 p.m., they pulled over a brown 2005 Audi that had been driving north toward Alderbridge Way. The driver, they say, was “using a mobile device.”
