Resident returns to Ashcroft Reserve to survey the damage

As Glenda Wilson drove toward the Ashcroft First Nation reserve, she had tears in her eyes and felt sick to her stomach.
Last Friday, when she left the reserve where she has lived for most of her life, all she could see was heavy smoke and a bright orange glow in her rear view mirror.
She was certain that the Ashcroft wildfire, which is west of Kamloops and now covers over 100 square kilometres, had consumed her home.
