Rainey, Jennings shine as Lions bounce Blue Bombers, 36-27
WINNIPEG — Chris Rainey says he’s always had to prove himself.
The running back did just that Saturday afternoon when he caught a pair of touchdown passes and rushed 16 times for 106 yards as the B.C. Lions ended a five-game losing streak with a 36-27 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Florida native, five-foot-eight, 180 pounds, got the start instead of Jeremiah Johnson, who was on the bench resting. The Lions (7-10) were already eliminated from playoff contention.
