Pedestrian struck by car dies in Vancouver

A man is dead after he was hit by a car early Thursday morning in Vancouver.
Vancouver police say the collision occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on SE Marine Drive near Ross Street.
A 43-year-old Vancouver man was driving a sedan east on Marine Drive when his vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing mid-block near Ross Street, according to police.
Passersby gave the pedestrian first aid until paramedics arrived. The man was taken to hospital where he died.
The VPD is working with the BC Coroner
