Pedestrian dies after struck by car in Surrey

A woman is dead after a motor vehicle collision in the Newton area of Surrey Friday morning.
Surrey RCMP say at around 7 a.m., officers were called to a report of a pedestrian being struck  by a vehicle in the 7700-block of 120th Street.
BC Ambulance Services and Surrey Fire Services attended to the woman however she died from her injuries.
Police say the vehicle was travelling northbound on 120th Street when it struck the pedestrian who was crossing from the west side to the east
