Park shooting in Burnaby believed to be targeted: police

Police in Burnaby are investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday evening in Edmonds Park.
Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the park located behind Edmonds Community Centre for a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old Burnaby man suffering non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Early indications are that the shooting was a targeted incident Investigators say the victim is known to police.
