Ontario and B.C. lead employment growth in Canada
Canada’s unemployment rate in November fell to its lowest in nearly a decade, as Ontario and B.C. lead in employment growth, says Statistics Canada.
The unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percentage points to 5.9 per cent, the lowest rate since February 2008.
The agency says 18,000 more people were employed in B.C. last month, up 3.8 per cent year over year.
