NHL looks elsewhere: Canucks won’t be Sweden-bound in 2019

The NHL has passed on the chance to throw Elias Pettersson and the Vancouver Canucks in front of a Swedish audience next fall.
The league announced Thursday that next year’s Global Series will feature Chicago, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Tampa Bay playing regular season games in Prague and Stockholm.
The Blackhawks and Flyers will open their respective seasons on Oct. 4 at O2 Arena in Prague, while the Sabres and Lightning will skate in a pair of games at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm on N
