New ICBC penalties for risky drivers could be in effect by this fall

Changes to the Insurance Corp. of B.C.’s rates could be in effect as early as this fall, according to the B.C. government.
In a news release on Thursday, the province said nearly 35,000 people participated in an online consultation this spring, regarding the province’s proposed changes to the Insurance Corporation of B.C.’s premiums and penalties.
