Mike Smyth: Drive-by sliming aside, Horgan and NDP made a decent start

The first full legislative session of the new NDP government went pretty well for Premier John Horgan, who didn’t once blow his stack in public despite a famous hair-trigger Irish temper.
In fact, the guy the Liberals like to bait and berate as “Hulk Horgan” is the happiest I’ve ever seen him. He’s having an absolute ball after taking a job nobody else wanted (leader of the NDP) and parlaying it into the most powerful office in the province.
