Long gone: Lions release ace kicker/punter to pursue NFL opportunities

B.C. Lions fans may want to look up kickers and punters from Roswell High in Roswell, Ga.
The Lions signed Roswell product Ty Long to handle their kicking duties in 2017 when Richie Leone, a fellow school alumnus, inked a deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
The Lions announced on Friday that they had released Long from his contract to pursue NFL opportunities. Farhan Lalji of TSN reported that Long, 25, was about to sign a futures deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.
