Is there any way to describe day one as having been a thriller? A great disappointment for Canada, perhaps.
After their 47-5 thumping of Uruguay, it’s hard to understate how confident the Canadians were feeling that they’d done enough to qualify for the cup round on Sunday.
But Australia had different ideas and somehow found a way to come back against the USA, winning 31-21 in the end.
So, here we are, on Sunday, with Canada playing the first game of the day against Scotland, rather
