Jared Legien has an immediate impact upon joining Vancouver Giants

General manager Barclay Parneta went outside the box in looking for a second-half boost for his Vancouver Giants.
With the Jan. 10 WHL trade deadline approaching, Parneta coaxed one-time Victoria Royals winger Jared Legien into joining Vancouver out of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. Legien debuted with Vancouver on Friday and had one goal and two assists in a 6-0 road win against the Red Deer Rebels.
