Gordon Clark: Real jail time would send message that hurting defenceless creatures will not be tolerated

We sure have been hit by a bad run of animal-abuse cases lately.
Earlier this week, we learned about Kuma, a Prince George dog that was found three days after it went missing with three, three-inch nails shot into its skull. Remarkably, a vet removed the nails and there is a good chance that the 2 1/2-year-old dog will recover, poor thing.
Meanwhile, we’re still waiting to learn if charges will be laid in an animal-abuse case from last month involving Elite Farm Services workers hired to c
