Giants name longtime Tri-City exec Parneta as their new GM

The Vancouver Giants’ general manager’s chair wasn’t open long.
The Giants will officially unveil Barclay Parneta as the new head of their player personnel department at a press conference on Wednesday morning at Pat Quinn’s Restaurant in Tsawwassen.
Parneta, 47, a Richmond native, becomes the franchise’s third GM, following Scott Bonner and Glen Hanlon. Hanlon parted ways with the Giants last week after two years in the position. A longtime coach, word is that he i
