Phil Ellis, who calls Langley home these days, won the prestigious Vancouver Sun Run in 1991 (29:03) by beating Paul Williams to the finish line. Williams, now of White Rock, originally won the 10K race in 1988 (29:12), then bounced back in 1992 to win again (29:03).
