From a refugee camp to sporting the maple leaf: Whitecaps’ Alphonso Davies officially a Canadian

No doot aboot it. Alphonso Davies is Canadian.
The Edmonton-raised Whitecaps prodigy passed his citizenship exam on Tuesday, and was scheduled to be sworn in as a Canadian later in the day in Vancouver.
Davies was born in a refugee camp in Ghana to Liberian parents and moved to Canada at age 5. After initially living in Windsor, Ont., Davies’s family settled in Edmonton a year later.
