Evacuations in South Kelowna after condo tower burns down

A six-storey condo tower under construction in South Kelowna caught on fire Saturday, prompting evacuations in the area.
The blaze began at approximately 11:30 a.m., according to Central Okanagan Emergency Operations. The building, at the corner of Truswell and Capozzi roads, was uninhabited.
The majority of the tower has collapsed, but not before the fire spread to adjacent structures, including the Waters Edge at 3865 Truswell Rd. and the Walnut Grove Motel.
