The B.C. government’s approach to ride-hailing has much in common with its approach to medicare. Politicians have, in both policy areas, accepted “bribes” — political donations — to maintain near monopolies, eliminate choice and cause deaths.
In 2005, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that patients die as a result of waiting for care. Restricted access to ride-hailing has similar results.
