Canada 5, Czech Republic 1: DiPietro stands tall when needed as Canada improves to 3-0

The Vancouver Canucks prospect is a temporary tenant for the time being as part of Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championship. On Saturday, DiPietro made three dazzling stops early in the second period with Canada leading the Czech Republic 3-1. He finished with 23 saves in a 5-1 win that improved coach Tim Hunter’s team to 3-0 in preliminary round play.
