Burnaby opens new warming centres

Burnaby is opening two new warming centres on Wednesday, with plans to open two more later.
The city says the warming centres, which are areas of overnight refuge from the cold weather, will be open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily. The city plans to open a third centre on Friday, and a fourth soon after.
Burnaby says the centres, located at Kensington Pitch and Putt Fieldhouse at 5889 Curtis Street, and Swangard Stadium’s Hospitality Room at 3883 Imperial Street, are located near transit.
