B.C. Wildfires 2018: Provincial state of emergency ends, some campfire bans lifted
The B.C. government has ended the provincial state of emergency that it declared in August because of an intense summer of wildfires.
In a statement on Friday, Emergency Management B.C. said the decision to cancel the order is thanks to cooler weather and progress in containing the hundreds of wildfires.
