Ashcroft Legion feeding 100-plus workers with area restaurants closed

There are people working in the bush near fires in the Cache Creek area who continue to work but who have nowhere to eat because area restaurants are all shut.
So the Legion in Ashcroft has stepped up.
“It’s a lot of work, but that’s what the Legion is here for,” said George Cooke, president of Royal Canadian Legion branch 113, which has existed in Ashcroft for almost 50 years.
