Amazon to take over part of old Vancouver Post Office, hire an additional 3,000 people

The old Vancouver Post Office in downtown Vancouver will soon become “one of the most ambitious heritage redevelopments in Canada’s history,” housing more workers than any other office in the city’s history.
On Monday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and online retail giant Amazon were expected to announce the revitalization of the 686,000-square-feet structure that occupies an entire city block bounded by Georgia, Dunsmuir, Homer and Hamilton streets.
