50/50 jackpot could surpass $500,000 during Canada-Russia juniors game on Monday

The biggest prize expected to come out of the World Junior Championship in Vancouver is no longer the hockey tournament’s trophy.
Rather, it’s the minimum $250,000 in cash someone is now slated to pocket during a big 50/50 raffle planned for Monday’s Canada-Russia game at Rogers Arena.
Ascend Fundraising Solutions, a sports gaming company that runs 50/50 sales for the Vancouver Canucks, guaranteed the quarter-million-dollar prize in the raffle, according to a news release from
