2016 Census: Transit use increases among Metro Vancouver commuters

More Metro Vancouver commuters than ever are using public transit to get to work each day, according to the most recent release of data from the 2016 Census.
The numbers, released on Wednesday by Statistics Canada, show that over the past 20 years, the proportion of commuters using transit in the Vancouver census metropolitan area (which stretches from Lions Bay to Langley) has gone up six percentage points — the largest increase of any census metropolitan area in Canada.
