Ontario to officially take over DVP, Gardiner in 2027

The province will upload the joined Toronto highways four years after Premier Doug Ford and Mayor Olivia Chow reached a deal to transfer responsibility, freeing up money for the city to pay for infrastructure repairs and maintenance. Ford says the province will not add tolls to the highways, and will pay to maintain them until they are officially transferred.
