Wildfire Update Northwestern District for August 2, 2022

Thunder Bay – Wildfire Update – The wet weather continues to result in a very inactive wildfire season across the district.No new fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by the late afternoon of August 2.
There is one active fire in the region at the time of this update:Sioux Lookout 2, located near Sakwaso Lake, approximately 45 kilometres west/northwest of the remote community of Weagamow. The 1.5 hectare fire is being observed.
