Update on Abandoned Elevator Rescue

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have issued a follow-up advisory regarding the efforts to rescue a man who had apparently got lost inside an abandoned grain elevator. The incident happened at the elevator on Shipyard Drive just north of Marina Park.
Police say that a large number of emergency service resources were utilized for over two hours to search an abandoned elevator on Shipyard Drive for a26-year-oldd male who had climbed up the elevator and not returned down.
