Thunder Bay Police Service extends foot patrol pilot program to address downtown safety concerns

The Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) is extending a pilot program aimed at addressing downtown safety concerns. Project Support, launched April 20, consists of an officer paired with a social navigator who conduct foot patrols in the city’s north and south cores. The goal is to connect people to social services rather than lay criminal charges against them.
