Thunder Bay, Ont., police wrap up downtown safety pilot program, promise more patrols

The Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) has wrapped up a pilot program aimed at improving downtown safety in its north and south cores. Project Support was launched with the goal of addressing public safety concerns such as drug use and disorderly conduct. The purpose was to connect people with social services rather than lay criminal charges against them. Here's what the police service is doing now that the pilot has ended.
